The song is about a person who is depressingly lonely. They find a partner for a period of time, and then their partner cheats on them. This leads to them spiraling back into depression and then eventually suicide. The music video and lyrics back this up.
The lyrics make several references to weights holding the singer down (to this plane of existance?), as if their pillow/partner is the one thing preventing them from killing themselves, thus being the weights. Some examples of this are "...with some weight to hold me down" and "weigh me down as I sleep, so when lost in my dreams I don't float away."
